Breastfeeding Medicine of Northeast Ohio is dedicated to helping breastfeeding mothers and babies -- to helping you.
Our goal is to achieve breastfeeding success as defined by the individual breastfeeding mother and child.
We combine medical and lactation support for both the mother and baby. Recognizing that at times specialized medical
knowledge is needed, we work continually to provide you with access to the most up to date practices in breastfeeding
medicine. Additionally, we promote breastfeeding education to individuals, healthcare providers and the
community while also participating in breastfeeding research.

Who are We?
Breastfeeding Medicine of NEO was started in 2008 by Ann M. Witt, MD, IBCLC with the goal of offering
breastfeeding mothers and babies of Ohio a place to turn when experiencing breastfeeding questions,
challenges or complications.
Dr. Ann Witt is a board-certified family physician with more than a decade of experience caring for
women and children, including both personal and professional experience with breastfeeding. A Cleveland native, Dr. Witt
graduated from CWRU School of Medicine and completed additional training in Seattle, WA. Dr. Witt is one
of a handful of physicians in Ohio who is IBCLC certified. She is also an active member of the Academy
of Breastfeeding Medicine.
